A Wedding DJ Who Knows Cypress Creek Farmhouse

Cypress Creek Farmhouse sits on a 40-acre working farm in Astatula, Florida, tucked between Orlando and the Lake County horse country. The air-conditioned barn, the three outdoor ceremony sites, and the waterfront sunset views give this venue a rhythm that is very different from a downtown hotel ballroom or a Disney resort.

I have performed often at Cypress Creek Farmhouse, and a lot of what makes a reception there feel effortless comes down to choices I make before the first guest arrives. That is the real value of hiring a DJ who already knows the property. With 2,000-plus weddings and 15-plus years of experience, I can tell you where the sound travels, where the power runs, and how the room behaves once the doors open at sunset.

What Does Cypress Creek Farmhouse Offer Couples?

The property holds up to 200 guests for a seated reception inside the climate-controlled farmhouse. Couples can pick from three outdoor ceremony locations: under the trees, along Jackson Lake, or at Cooper Lake.

The farmhouse itself is a large open rectangle with tall ceilings and hard surfaces, which means sound bounces differently than a draped hotel space. Getting the speakers placed right, and choosing the right volume curve for cocktail hour versus dancing, is most of the job. Load-in runs from the gravel drive, so I plan cart paths and cable runs ahead of time.

For ceremony sites across the property, I bring my own battery-powered system so nothing depends on running extension cords through the grass.

What's included at the Cypress Creek Farmhouse?

A few services pair especially well with Cypress Creek Farmhouse because of the its size and the way the outdoor spaces read at dusk.

Uplighting Inside the Farmhouse

The farmhouse has exposed structural elements, and white walls that take color beautifully. Warm amber or soft blush uplighting along the walls turns a big open space into something that feels intimate for toasts and first dances. Dozens of LED fixtures are available as an add-on when you book with me.

Ceremony Sound Outside

Outdoor ceremonies across the property need reliable amplification for officiant, vows, and music. I run a separate ceremony PA with wireless lavalier mics, then transition the guests to cocktail hour with a second system staged near the barn. This prevents the dead zone that happens when one system tries to cover too much ground.

Photobooth and Virtual Fireworks

The open-air digital photobooth fits nicely in a corner of the barn near the bar, and because the property is rural and dark after sunset, a virtual fireworks finale reads cinematic against the barn walls. Package extras and availability are on my pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cypress Creek Farmhouse Weddings

How much does a wedding DJ cost at Cypress Creek Farmhouse?

My pricing is the same at every Central Florida venue. At Cypress Creek Farmhouse, my transparent pricing applies. No venue markups, no hidden fees. Exact package details are on my pricing page.

Does Chuck have experience at Cypress Creek Farmhouse?

Yes. I have performed often at Cypress Creek Farmhouse and I know the barn layout, the outdoor ceremony sites, the power locations, and the timing quirks that come with a large rural property. That familiarity is the difference between a polished reception and a DJ figuring out the space on the fly.

What equipment do you use at Cypress Creek Farmhouse?

I bring professional-grade powered speakers sized for the barn, a separate battery-powered ceremony system for the lakeside or under-the-trees site, wireless handheld and lavalier microphones, a backup DJ mixer, and a full LED uplighting kit when it is part of your package. Everything is commercial gear, not consumer equipment.

Can I request specific songs for my Cypress Creek Farmhouse wedding?

Absolutely. My online planning form lets you build your must-play, first-dance, parent-dance, and do-not-play lists before the wedding day. I also take requests from guests at the reception as long as they fit what you have told me you want. Your vision drives the playlist.

What happens if the weather forces an outdoor ceremony indoors?

Cypress Creek Farmhouse has an indoor backup option inside the barn. When the forecast looks unstable, I arrive early enough to set up both a primary ceremony site and a ready-to-go indoor plan, so a weather call an hour before the ceremony does not force a scramble. My agreement covers both configurations at no additional cost.

How early do you arrive at Cypress Creek Farmhouse?

I arrive well before guest arrival, at least 60 minutes before ceremony time. That gives me room to park, load in across the gravel, run a full sound check at the ceremony site, set up the reception system in the barn, and meet with the photographer, planner, and officiant before anyone starts taking pictures. Nothing is rushed.
