I’ve been a wedding DJ in Central Florida for more than a decade and I’ve performed at over 2,000 weddings, including same-sex weddings. If you’re an LGBTQ+ couple planning your wedding in Orlando or anywhere across Central Florida, you don’t have to start the conversation by asking whether I’m comfortable with that (I am). It’s part of my regular work and has been for years.
I’m also one of the few DJs on Walt Disney World’s official Disney Fairytale Weddings list, and Disney is one of the most openly LGBTQ+ welcoming wedding brands in the world. Disney Fairytale Weddings has officially celebrated same-sex copules since 2007, as a standard part of how they work and not as a special category. That matters for couples who want their venue to share their values from the top down.
Here’s what I want every LGBTQ+ couple to know up front: my pricing is the same, my packages are the same, my planning process is the same. The only things that change are the details that are unique to your wedding, like your introductions, your processional, your first dances, and the music that actually means something to the two of you. Those details change on every wedding, not just yours.
This page covers how I handle introductions, how ceremony and reception planning works for same-sex couples, and the questions I get asked most often.

How Do I Handle Introductions, Planning, and Announcements at Same-Sex Weddings?
Every wedding I do starts with a planning form that captures exactly how the two of you want to be announced and addressed throughout the night. There is no default. Whether you want “Now introducing for the first time, Mr. and Mr.” or “Mrs. and Mrs.”, first names only, hyphenated last names, one of you taking the other’s last name, or any other combination. Announcements are built around you, not whatever the standard wedding script happens to be.
The same goes for planning how I introduce your wedding party, your parents, and your honored guests. If something needs to be said a specific way, it’s discussed beforehand so everyone is comfortable. If there is any grey area that might raise an issue, I confirm it with you before the moment happens.
Where mistakes are made at LGBTQ+ weddings is when a vendor isn’t paying attention. A sloppy “please welcome the bride and groom” announcement at a same-sex wedding undoes a lot of careful planning in a single sentence. I always insist we plan around them in advance.

Inclusive Ceremony and Reception Planning
The standard wedding template assumes a bride walks down the aisle while a groom waits at the front. At same-sex weddings, that template doesn’t apply. Both of you might walk down separately. You might walk together. One of you might be escorted, the other not. You might skip the processional entirely and start at the altar together.
All of those work.
My job is to know which one you’re doing, what music goes with each part, and how to time the cues so the moment lands the way you’ve been picturing it.
The same flexibility applies to the rest of the night. Your first dance is your first dance, however you want it structured. Family dances don’t have to be mother-and-son or father-and-daughter, and a lot of couples I work with restructure those moments around the people who actually raised them. Whatever you choose, the music selection, timing, and announcement language are built around your choices.
The Wedding Reception Blueprint is my proprietary planning framework, and it’s the same framework I use for every wedding. The questions are open-ended, the structure is flexible, and your answers shape the night.

Walt Disney World LGBTQ+ Weddings
Disney Fairytale Weddings has officially celebrated same-sex couples since 2007, and Walt Disney World is one of the most openly LGBTQ+ welcoming wedding venues in the country. Two grooms or two brides at a Disney property is a normal day for the Disney wedding planning team, not a special-case event.
I’m one of the few DJs on Walt Disney World’s official Disney Fairytale Weddings list. That list is small, and being on it means I’m able to perform at any Walt Disney World wedding venue, including the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary Resort, the Yacht & Beach Club, Atlantic Dance Hall, Epcot, and every other Disney wedding location.
DJ Bayley is also on the Disney Fairytale Weddings approved vendor list. That gives Disney couples a second option if I am unavailable.
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World wedding, the venue is booked through Disney directly and my DJ services are provided to you through Disney as part of your event package. The pricing structure is different from my standard Central Florida pricing, but the experience and the inclusive approach are the same.

What Are the Best LGBTQ+ Friendly Wedding Venues in Orlando?
Most Central Florida wedding venues today are openly LGBTQ+ friendly, and the conversation has come a long way over the years. That said, a few venues stand out for either their explicit position or for the consistent experience same-sex couples have at them.
The Walt Disney World wedding venues, including the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary Resort, the BoardWalk, and the Yacht & Beach Club, are all part of the Disney Fairytale Weddings program and are openly inclusive at the brand level.
Most every venue where I work at often are welcoming and easy to plan with as a same-sex couple. For the full list of Central Florida wedding venues I work at most often, see my Orlando wedding venues page.

Why LGBTQ+ Couples Choose Me as Their Orlando Wedding DJ
The reason most LGBTQ+ couples I work with choose me is that they don’t have to do the work of vetting me first. The conversation starts with the wedding, not with whether the wedding is going to be welcomed. By the time we get on a planning call, we’re talking about your timeline, your music, your family dynamics, and the specific details that make your wedding yours.
The pricing is the same as every other wedding I do. The packages are the same. The agreement is the same. The 2,000+ weddings I’ve performed include same-sex weddings, opposite-sex weddings, blended-family weddings, multi-generational weddings, multi-cultural weddings, and religious and secular weddings. All of them get the same Wedding Reception Blueprint process, the same DJ and MC service, the same backup equipment, the same $2 million liability coverage, and the same 100 percent on-time guarantee.
The reviews on Google reflect that consistency.
Same-sex couples leave the same kind of reviews opposite-sex couples leave because the experience is the same.

Frequently Asked Questions About LGBTQ+ and Same-Sex Wedding DJ Services
Do you DJ same-sex weddings?
Yes. Same-sex weddings have been part of my regular work for years. I’ve performed many LGBTQ+ weddings across Central Florida and at Walt Disney World, and the planning process is the same as any other wedding I book.
How do you handle introductions and announcements for two grooms or two brides?
My planning form captures exactly how the two of you want to be announced. Mr. and Mr., Mrs. and Mrs., first names only, hyphenated last names, or any other combination you choose. There is no default introduction language. Everything I say about your wedding party, parents, and honored guests is built around what you’ve told me on the planning form.
Have you DJed LGBTQ+ weddings at Walt Disney World?
Yes. I’m one of the few DJs on Walt Disney World’s official Disney Fairytale Weddings list, and Disney has been openly celebrating same-sex couples since 2007. I’ve performed same-sex weddings at Walt Disney World wedding venues including the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary Resort, the BoardWalk, and more.
Do you charge differently for LGBTQ+ or same-sex weddings?
No. My pricing is the same regardless of the couple. The full breakdown is on my pricing page. Pricing for Walt Disney World weddings is provided to you directly through Disney as part of your event package.
Do you have experience with two-bride or two-groom processionals and family dances?
Yes. Both of you walking down the aisle together, both of you walking separately, one of you being escorted, the processional skipped entirely. I’ve done all of them. Family dances are flexible too. Whatever you choose, the music and the timing are built around your decisions.
Are you actually LGBTQ+ welcoming, or just listed as friendly?
I’m welcoming. I’ve been performing same-sex weddings for years, my Google reviews include same-sex couples, and I’m one of the few DJs featured at Walt Disney World, which is one of the most openly LGBTQ+ welcoming wedding brands in the country. The proof is in the work, not in a banner on the page.
