Wedding DJ at Lakeside Inn Mount Dora | Classic Disc Jockeys

Is Lakeside Inn the Right Venue for Your Wedding?

Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora is one of Florida’s oldest and most beloved historic hotels. Operating since 1883, the inn sits on the shores of Lake Dora and is surrounded by moss-draped oaks and landscaped grounds that give it a timeless, storybook quality. It draws couples who want a wedding that feels different from a standard ballroom reception, with genuine character built into every corner of the property.

I have performed many weddings at Lakeside Inn and have a strong sense of how the space works. Weddings here tend to be more intimate by nature, and the approach to sound and setup reflects that. At a venue like this, blending into the setting matters as much as filling it with energy.

Capacity, Layout, and Sound at Lakeside Inn

Indoor receptions at Lakeside Inn accommodate up to 135 guests in the renovated dining room, which features historic Florida architecture, chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows with garden views. The Great Lawn outdoors can host up to 200 guests and is available for tented receptions, which is recommended for outdoor events of 75 or more.

Historic venues have their own sound considerations. The architecture is beautiful but was not designed around modern audio needs. I bring equipment that fills the room cleanly without overwhelming the natural character of the space. For outdoor ceremonies on the lawn or beneath the oaks, I use a battery-powered ceremony system that requires no venue power connection and no runs of cable across the grounds.

DJ and Entertainment Services for Lakeside Inn Weddings

I provide full DJ and MC services for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions at Lakeside Inn. Every event includes professional sound, wireless microphones, and a music experience built around the couple’s preferences and the relaxed, romantic atmosphere the venue creates.

Uplighting works especially well in the indoor dining room at Lakeside Inn. The historic architecture gives the room natural warmth, and uplighting deepens it, adding dimension and weaving the wedding’s colors through the space. My digital photobooth fits particularly well at intimate weddings, where guests are spending real time with each other and tend to make good use of it throughout the night.

Services are available through my FIVE, SIX, and MORE packages. Details on what each includes are on my pricing page.

Questions About DJ Services at Lakeside Inn

How much does a DJ cost for a wedding at Lakeside Inn?

My pricing is the same at every Central Florida venue. At Lakeside Inn, my transparent pricing applies. No venue markups, no hidden fees. Exact package details are on my pricing page.

Have you performed weddings at Lakeside Inn before?

Yes. I have performed many weddings at this property. I know how the indoor rooms respond to sound, how the outdoor areas work for ceremonies, and what couples typically want from a wedding at a venue with this much character. That firsthand experience makes the day easier for everyone involved.

What equipment do you use at a smaller, historic venue like this?

I bring professional speaker systems sized appropriately for the space, a DJ mixer, wireless microphones, and full backup equipment. At a venue like Lakeside Inn, matching the equipment to the room size is what keeps the sound natural and even, rather than overpowering the setting.

Can I give you a do-not-play list or request specific songs?

Yes. Before the wedding, I send a planning form where you can share must-plays, do-not-plays, and any songs tied to specific moments in the evening. During the reception, guest requests are welcome within the boundaries you set in the planning form.

Do you set up ceremony sound separately from the reception?

Yes. Ceremony music runs on a separate, battery-powered system that does not need venue electricity. This makes it flexible for outdoor ceremonies on the Great Lawn or any other location on the property, without dealing with cords or outlet limitations.

How early do you arrive to set up?

I arrive at least 60 minutes before your start time. At Lakeside Inn, I factor in the layout of the space and coordinate with the venue team to make sure everything is in place and tested before guests arrive.

Is Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora far from Orlando?

Mount Dora is roughly 45 minutes northwest of Orlando. I perform at venues throughout Central Florida and travel is not an issue. I have made the drive to Lakeside Inn many times and the distance is factored into my standard Central Florida pricing.
