The 8,000-square-foot venue is tropical in feel, with natural fibers, restored antiques, and floor-to-ceiling windows on both floors that look straight out onto the water. The pavilion spans two floors, each with large windows facing the lake. Indoor capacity runs up to 190 guests, with the open pier area capable of hosting much larger cocktail gatherings. The indoor spaces have a warm, gallery-like quality thanks to original artwork and natural materials throughout.
Being on a pier creates some unique sound considerations. Sound behaves differently over open water, and I account for that in how I position speakers and manage volume levels for outdoor portions of the event. The venue is located at 200 S. Disston Ave in Tavares, and load-in access is coordinated directly with the venue team. I arrive at least 60 minutes before your start time so the full setup is tested before the first guest steps onto the pier.

The floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings on both floors make Tavares Pavilion a great space for uplighting. Color adds a lot to a room with that much natural material and woodwork, and I use wireless lights that do not require running cables across a space where guests will be moving freely throughout the night.

Yes. Ceremony sound runs on a separate battery-powered system that is completely independent from the reception setup. No venue power is needed for the ceremony. A wireless microphone for the officiant is included in all packages.
Can I choose my own music?
Absolutely. The planning process covers every music moment in detail, from the processional and recessional to the first dance, parent dances, and full reception playlist. You can also flag any songs you would prefer not to hear. The evening sounds exactly the way you want it to.
