Wedding DJ at Shades of Green Resort | Classic Disc Jockeys

Shades of Green Resort sits in the heart of Walt Disney World, surrounded by championship golf courses and just minutes from Magic Kingdom. It is a distinctive venue: a full resort property on Disney grounds with a waterside gazebo, a grand ballroom, and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces that give couples a genuine Disney-area wedding experience. I have performed many weddings here and know the venue’s flow and setup well.

I bring Disney-caliber experience to every event I perform on Walt Disney World property. That background matters at a venue like Shades of Green, where the expectations are high and the setting calls for a DJ who has worked this kind of environment before.

Venue Details That Shape the Day

The Magnolia Ballroom at Shades of Green is a spacious event room that can accommodate up to 350 guests, covering 7,500 square feet on its own, with more than 15,000 square feet of total flexible event space across the property. The venue offers both ceremony and reception settings.

Shades of Green is a military resort and is exclusively available to active duty, retired, and other eligible military personnel and their families. That distinctive guest profile tends to bring a great sense of community energy to the reception. Load-in and vendor access at the resort are managed through the events team, so I coordinate arrival and setup details directly with venue staff as part of my standard preparation. I arrive at least 60 minutes before your start time, and for events with both a ceremony and a reception setup, I build additional arrival time into the planning from the start.

What I Bring to Your Shades of Green Wedding

Every event here starts with my Wedding Reception Blueprint, a detailed process for designing your reception around your story, your songs, and the moments that matter most to you. I DJ and MC every event personally. There are no substitutes and no surprises about who shows up on your wedding day.

The Magnolia Ballroom is a beautiful space for uplighting. The room’s scale and the quality of the interior design give uplighting a polished, elevated look that fits the resort setting perfectly. I work with couples to choose colors that complement the room’s existing aesthetic rather than compete with it.

digital photo booth is always a hit at a venue like this, where guests are already in a celebratory resort mood. It fits cleanly into the reception layout and gives guests a fun way to engage between dances and during dinner. The Virtual Fireworks Experience adds a memorable visual moment that feels right at home in a Disney-area venue. No permits, no outdoor coordination, no venue approval needed for this one.

My ceremony audio is fully self-contained and battery-powered, so I do not need venue power to run a clean, professional ceremony anywhere on the property, including the outdoor garden patio.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hiring a DJ at Shades of Green

How much does a wedding DJ cost at Shades of Green Resort?

My pricing is the same at every Central Florida venue. At Shades of Green, my transparent pricing applies. No venue markups, no hidden fees. Exact package details are on my pricing page.

Do guests need to be military to attend a wedding at Shades of Green?

The resort is an Armed Forces Recreation Center, and bookings are available to eligible military personnel, their families, or an official sponsor. All of your guests are welcome, regardless of military service. My role as DJ is the same regardless of how the guest list is structured.

Have you performed at Shades of Green before?

Yes. I have performed multiple events at Shades of Green and am familiar with the venue layout, the vendor coordination process, and the way events flow through both the indoor ballroom and the outdoor spaces. That experience makes planning easier and the day itself go more smoothly.

What equipment do you use?

I bring professional speakers scaled to the size of the room, a DJ mixer, wireless microphones for ceremony and reception, and complete backup equipment for every component. Your audio is fully under my control from the moment setup is complete.

Can I make song requests?

Yes. Every couple I work with fills out a detailed online planning form in the weeks before the wedding. Your must-plays, your do-not-plays, your first dance, your parent dances, and any requests that come in from guests during the night are all part of the plan. You should feel completely comfortable with every musical decision before your wedding day arrives.

How do you handle outdoor ceremony sound at this venue?

My ceremony audio setup is self-contained and battery-powered. If your ceremony is at the outdoor patio, I do not need a venue power source to run a clean, professional ceremony. Wireless microphones for your officiant and any readers are included.

What time do you arrive?

I arrive at least 60 minutes before your start time to complete setup and run a full sound check. For events with both a ceremony and a reception on site, I coordinate arrival time during planning so everything is ready well ahead of when guests arrive.
